My Why?
My 'Why' is twofold. One, my husband I have worked hard over the past 30 or so years in traditional jobs following the traditional savings and investment path laid out by our parents. But over the past 6 or seven years it seems like our savings, investments, IRA's, and 401K plans have lost at a rate that has us wondering if we will have enough to retire comfortably WITHOUT the help of the government. I no longer want to wonder, I want to know I can be sure that our retirement years will be what we have always dreamed they could be.

The second part of my why has to with my handicap sister, Maryann, whom I care for. I want to omake sure she is taken care of properly if something should happen to me. I want to ensure she will get quality care and not government care!
